Welcome!

My name is Jihye Lee and I am a third-year Ph.D. student in Social Work at the Brown School, Washington University in St. Louis. My research focuses on social policies related to economic integration and multidimensional poverty among forced and unauthorized migration populations.

Research

I was inspired by my experiences as a researcher and social worker, during which I witnessed how exclusionary social policies contribute to poverty and obstruct immigrants’ integration into host communities. My primary goal is to examine the trajectory of multidimensional exclusion among immigrants and refugees experiencing poverty and inequality.
